Illegal immigration into Canada is rampant, and endorsed by Trudeau's government

On February I wrote a blog post about how illegal immigrants are abusing a loophole in Canadian law to enter the country illegally yet still get refugee status.

In summary: A person entering Canada from the United States cannot legally get refugee status because both countries have signed an agreement that they consider each other peaceful countries (which, in terms of refugees, means that a person crossing the border cannot be a refugee because he's not fleeing a dangerous country). This is completely official.

If a person tries to enter Canada from the United States using an official border crossing point, requesting refugee status in Canada, he will be turned back, because there's no legal basis for the request.

However, there's a loophole in Canadian law that if the person crosses the border illegally, he can be given refugee status, and thus can stay in the country indefinitely (at taxpayers' expense, of course).

Rather than fix the loophole, Justin Trudeau's government is, on the contrary, abusing it to its fullest extent, and outright encouraging people to illegally enter the country.

And if you think I'm exaggerating, you haven't heard even half of it.

When I wrote that blog post, it was estimated that about a dozen or so people were entering Canada illegally every day. By this point that number has increased to a dozen or so people per hour. And that's not a total. That's a dozen people per hour for each of the numerous "official" illegal border crossing points alongside the border. (In other words, the total number of people crossing the border illegally every hour is much, much larger.)

And when I say "official illegal border crossing point", I'm not kidding. For example at a certain such point in Quebec, Canadian officials have constructed a land bridge over a ditch, to facilitate the crossing. On the Canadian side there are tents with police officers taking people in and giving them refugee papers. There's a bus transporting people from the border to the city.

I kid you not, there's actually a queuing line over this crossing. Illegal immigrants are actually queuing for their turn to cross and get to the tents, where they will get their papers. At moments the queue is actually long enough that many of the people at the back of it are still on the American side of the border.

And yes, these are all 100% illegal crossings. Which makes every single one of these people a criminal. They are breaking Canadian law by entering the country illegally. Yet the Canadian police, rather than stopping them and turning them around, are welcoming them, with the full blessing of the Canadian government.

And basically none of these people even resemble a "refugee". Most of them arrive by taxi, or by car driven by human trafficking rings (which of course nobody is doing anything about), and come from all parts of the United States. To which they have often arrived by plane. Many of them are carrying luggage with airplane tickets still attached. Many of them are wearing expensive clothes, jewelry, cellphones (some of them even more than one), laptops, and so on. And they come from all over the world, like Haiti and numerous countries of South America.

And get this: The police taking these "immigrants" in don't even check their luggage for illegal material, such as drugs or weapons.

The Canadian government is endorsing, encouraging and funding illegal activity, activity that's against the laws of the country, and has been doing so for many months. I believe this is one of the hallmarks of governmental corruption.
